laughing and launching
Had a splendid time at the selfridges launch party, and managed to not knock anything over despite the crowds and the cocktails. Also we met a woman called Anna from Jiggery Pokery, have a look at their website and be ready to be very, very inspired! http://jiggerypokery.biz/

merrimaking-gorillas:
Just one day left to enter to win January’s Gorilla hood and we’ve received some brilliant entries!
Donna, London.
We nearly fell-over over this one. Donna says she has a very kind friend who let her go ape all over his fruit’n’veg stall this weekend and he promised that every customer would go away with at least 1 piece of fruit with our web address on...
Hood of the Month: A Rakish Raccoon
One very rakish raccoon was made this week and we decided we love it so much it has to be hood of the month for February.
Not only is he a good looking chap, he’s also half made up using remnants of the light wolf material that couldn’t otherwise be used. Satisfying :)
Raccoons are £30 (+£2 p&p) and you can order through the website heeeeeerrrre

www
Had a sneek-peek at the new website today! We decided that, although we’ve grown fond of the wonky ways in which our website works, we would have someone build it for us. It’s still our design, it’ll just function a bit smoother. We havn’t got a date yet for when it’s going live yet, but it doesn’t look as though it’s going to be long…
so great and so stealthy

super stuff
We were in London at the weekend and went to go and see the Supermarket Sarah wall at Selfridges. I take my hood off to her, she’s done it really well! The wall is divided into 4 sections: Super Stuff (there really is some super stuff), New Designers, Vintage and Gallery. We’re in the ‘New Designers’ section. Other designers include including Swedish Blonde Design, Audrey...

WANT TO WORK FOR MERRIMAKING?
EXCITING NEWS! We've just been given a grant to employ a seammistress/mister to join the team. A few criteria you need to match for the grants sake: you need to be on the dole, under 25 and be able to get to our studio in Nottingham 3 days a week. If that's all good, and you'd like to apply, we'd love to hear from you. (hello@merrimaking.co.uk)
for a bear? sounds fair...
We received this incredible pile of fabrics through the post yesterday!
If you havn’t noticed, we run a Swap Shop as another means to gather together all the reclaimed fabrics that we like to use to make your hoods unique. This pile was sent to us by Rosie, and we swapped it for a Bear hood :)
January Seal
For January we’ve designed our first ear-less hood. As always, you choose the lining!
Pictures to follow soon… and for the time being, if the idea of a grey, ear-less fur hood is enough to seal the deal, be the first and order here. £25 (+2P&P)
